Your Inner Billion

Success is within everyone the challenge is that experience, school, society etc. has most likely taught you that don’t have what it takes. You are taught that success is out there and I am here to tell you it is inside yourself. You have everything you need to be successful right now.

You will have had experiences that no one else will have ever had, these make you unique and if you can recognise them they can be valuable to someone else. You probably won’t think that they are anything special because you see them every day so you have become desensitized to them.  However to others they could be priceless.

Let me explain this to you through a couple of examples;

I went to see Dr Demartini last year and he explained how we each have a billion within us. I understood what he was saying on the day however it has taken me a while to really be able to see it.

Dr Demartini shared a story about a lady who said she had nothing that she could make a billion out of. So he asked what she cared most about. She said her family and her dog. After some discussion it turned out she spent quite a bit of time training her dog and it could do a number of tricks. So he asked her if she had thought of marketing it for TV shows. She took his advice and her dog is now the face of Taco Bell in the US. Something that she did because she loved it turned out to be the thing that made her successful.

I noticed this very thing when I went to lunch with a lady a few days ago. I had specifically asked her to come to lunch because she has lived in many places and I had seen in her brief stay in Gaborone that she was great at networking. This is a skill that I am still developing and I wanted to learn from someone I could see knew what they were doing. Some people can cook, others can organise people, some people can write proposals, and she knows how to network. I don’t think she has realised what a wonderful skill this is- if she had -she would have charged me for the privilege of sharing the information with me, as it was I did buy the lunch J.

You need to look within yourself to see what you love the most and what you put the most time into. Once you have identified this you can then begin to see how you can share it in a meaningful way with others that will allow you to be successful.

What I have learnt is that I loved learning about consciousness and human potential, even though writing was not my favourite thing to be doing I realised that if I want to be successful I need to share what I have learnt otherwise it would stay locked up inside of me and be of no use to anyone, let alone me!
